What Oba Of Lagos Told Rhodes-Vivour About Saturday Election & Sanwo-Olu At The Palace

The Oba of Lagos, Oba Rilwan Akinolu has given the Labour Party Governorship candidate in Lagos, Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour a piece of advice about what will happen on Saturday and his stand on Babajide Sanwo-Olu of the All Progressive Congress.

GRV as fondly called was in the palace alongside his father and some of his campaign team members on Thursday to pay a visit to the monarch and possibly receive his blessings ahead of the governorship election.

But to the surprise of the Labour Party governorship candidate and those who accompanied him to the palace, Oba Akinolu delivered one of the most unexpected and blunt speeches of the moment.

The monarch told Rhodes-Vivour that the incumbent governor and candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Babajide Sanwo-Olu will win the poll.

According to him, God has ordained Sanwo-Olu to rule the state for another four years.

He said, “I declared my support for Sanwo-Olu because I believe in him and the Lord has said it is Sanwo-Olu who will win. For you Gbadebo, the future is open to us. God will not kill you, there is nothing wrong in you contesting. All of those contesting are my children.

“God should help us to make the state better. When Sanwo-Olu wins, the government will involve all of us”.
