NDLEA Arrest Party Agents With Hundreds Of Credit Cards Meant For Vote Buying In Abeokuta

The Nigerian Drug Law Enforcement Agency, has intercepted a group of party agents who were in possession of several credits card in Abeokuta, Ogun State.

The information was disclosed on the verified twitter page of the security agency on Saturday.

According to the information, the suspects were arrested while the officers were on election duty stop and search.

It was revealed that the suspects, who confessed they were party agents, were arrested at Ibara Housing Estate where they were meant to buy votes at different polling units within the Estate.

However, no information was revealed about either the candidate or party they are working for. 

The operatives stated that they will be handed over to the police for further investigation and prosecution once they concluded their investigation.

They wrote on twitter: “Operatives of @ndlea_nigeria on election duty stop and search, just intercepted four party agents with hundreds of money credit cards,  to buy votes at Ibara housing estate, Ogun state. Each card contains 10k and activated to cash with a code.”
