Kwara Gov., Abdulrasaq Dedicates Victory To Residents After His Re-election 

The Kwara state governor, Abdulrahman Abdulrasaq has reacted to his victory in the governorship election conducted in the state on Saturday.

The govenernor defeated his closest rival from the People’s Democratic Party who was heavily backed by the former governor and Senate President, Bukola Saraki.

Abdulrasaq will now return as elected to continue his second term in the North Central State.

While reacting to his re-election on his verified twitter handle on Monday, Abdulrasaq dedicated the victory to the good people of Kwara and promised to live up to their expections.

The statement read in part: “I dedicate this election victory to God and to the people of our state — in the north, south, and central. They have shown once again that power resides with the people

“My profound appreciation goes to all the stakeholders for the truly pan-Kwara mandate: young or old, men and women, traditional and religious institutions, civil servants.”
