Sowore Reacts To Arrest Of Social Media Influencer Without The Arrest Of A Single Political Thug In Lagos 

The presidential candidate of the Action Alliance, Omoyele Sowore has reacted to the recent arrest of a social media influencer, Chude by the Nigerian Police on Saturday.

Chude was initially believed to have been kidnapped while the governorship and State House of Assembly elections were going on across the country on Saturday.

Many of his followers on social media were worried about his whereabout as they flooded the internet with news of his sudden disappearance.

On Sunday, it was revealed by the Anambra State governor, Charles Chukwuma Soludo that the Anambra born influencer was actually arrested by the police for Cyber crime.

Soludo, who made this known on his verified twitter handle confirmed that he got the update from the Inspector General of Police, Usman Alkali Baba.

Reacting to the news of his arrest, Sowore who contested the just concluded 2023 presidential election, said it is funny that the only person in Police custody is a young, social media influencer, Chude from Anambra who was accused of Cybercrime.

Sowore stated this on his verified twitter handle on Sunday.

He wrote: “After all the xenophobic attacks on Igbos in Lagos during last weekend charade called “elections” isn’t it funny that the only person in @PoliceNG custody is a young guy, a social media influencer, @chude__ from Anambra accused of cybercrime? Not a single person in Lagos arrested for attempted murder, conduct likely to breach public peace, vote-buying, election rigging, arson, affray…not even any reported arrest for two-fighting?”
