Nollywood Actress, Chioma Akpotha appears to be finding it difficult to move on with the experience she had on Saturday over her inability to cast her vote for the candidate of her choice.

The film producer had narrated what she went through in the hands of Knives-wielding thugs who stopped her from voting at the Victoria Garden City, VGC, Ajah Lagos.

According to her, she had approached the ballot box after she was accredited and while trying to thumbrint the ballot papers and cast her vote, some unidentified thugs walked up to her with knives and other dangerous weapons, threatening to kill her if she tried to vote.

She had to run for her life. Akpotha made this revelation on Saturday in a live Instagram video that was posted on her page immediately after the incident as reported by RovingNaija.

Reflecting on the experience in a tweet posted on her handle on Monday, the actress asked if she could heal from what happened.

She asked: “Will I even heal from this tribal hate?”

Writing further, the thespian said:

“Horrible words spewed on me just because I came out to vote in a land I have always known as home. A land that has sheltered me from birth…

What exactly did I do wrong on Saturday 18/03/23 ? What ?”
