Kaduna Gov’ship Election Not Expression Of People But Kaduna APC & INEC Consortium- Shehu Sani

After hours of suspense and speculation, the result of governorship election conducted on Saturday March 18 in Kaduna State was declared with the candidate of the All Progressive Congress, Uba Sani carrying the day.

The outcome appears to be contrary to some people’s expectations following the trend in which the result was initially taking before the break at the collation centre.

Until the returning officer shifted the process till 6pm on Monday, the candidate of the People’s Democratic Party, Ashiru Kudan was said to be leading and it appeared he was on his way to the government house.

By the time everyone returned to collation centre at 6pm to continue the process, the narrative has changed and the result had tilted in favour of the APC candidate.

Senator Uba Sani was consequently declared winner and returned elected.

Reacting to his declaration, the former senator representing Kaduna Central Senatorial District, Shehu Sani revealed that the result does not reflect the wishes of Kaduna people.

He wrote: “Kaduna governorship election not expression of the people but Kaduna APC and INEC consortium.”

Shehu Sani revealed this on his verified twitter handle on Tuesday morning.

“Kaduna Governorship election; not expression of the people but of Kaduna Apc & Kaduna inec consortium. We thank & appreciate the courage of those who rejected tyranny & gave us their untainted votes. The candidate will make public his next line of action as he deems. Thank you all.”
