I Have Always Been A Source Of Deep Frustration For Nigerian Politicians – Oby Ezekwesili

Former Nigerian Minister of Education, Oby Ezekwesili has shared her past experience with politicians during her time while serving with the Federal government.

Ezekwesili, who has been vibrant on social media since the commencement of the electioneering process had on several fora shown her disatisfaction with the way the country is being run by the current administration.

She had also ventilated her grievance on how the 2023 general elections was handled by the Independent National Electoral Commission and government.

Taking to her verified twitter handle on Wednesday, the convener of Bring Back Our Girls revealed how she was a thorn in the neck of politicians while she was still in government.

She said: “I have always been a source of deep frustration to Nigerian politicians.”

According to her, politicians do not want to follow due process in doing things and whenever there is need for that, they ensure they frustrate it.

She wrote on twitter: “I have always been a source of deep frustration for Nigeria’s politicians and their hangers-on.

“Let me release a little anecdote.

“You see, even in the government I served, some in the Executive would connive with members of @nassnigeria to waste my time because of Due Process.

“They totally hated the Due Process Reforms through which my team and I produced the Bill that was passed to establish the Bureau for Public Procurement.

“These politicians from the North, South, East and West of Nigeria just shaa hated the Public Procurement reforms.”
