Festus Keyamo Reveals What Oppositions Are Trying To Achieve With Alleged CJN/Tinubu’s Meeting In UK
The Chief spokesperson of the Tinubu presidential campaign council, Festus Keyamo has accused the purveyors of story about the Chief Justice of Nigeria, Olukayode Ariwoola’s meeting with Bola Ahmed Tinubu in London.
The report went viral on social media on Thursday that the CJN had disguised on a wheelchair at the airport where he was alleged to be on his way to meet the president-elect, Bola Tinubu who is currently out of the country for a rest and lesser hajj.
The rumour about the CJN has since been debunked by the campaign council of the president-elect.
Speaking on the development, the Minister of Labour and Employment accused the purveyors of the news of trying to play an ethnic card with the story.
He specifically pointed an accusing fingers to the presidential candidate of the Labour Party in the just concluded presidential election, Dr. Peter Obi.
Writing on his verified twitter handle on Friday evening, Keyamo said: “They want to play an ethnic card up to the Supereme Court level.”
According to him, the purpose is to raise so much dust about the CJN so that when they get to the Supereme Court, they will ask Ariwoola to recuse himself.
He wrote: “The card they are playing with the fake CJN story is to raise so much dust about the CJN, albeit unfounded and fake, so that when they get to the Supreme Court, they will ask him to recuse himself; they want to play the ethnic card up to the S/Court. It is absolutely condemnable!”
