3 Strong Allegations Levelled Against Iyorchia Ayu That Led To His Suspension From PDP

The National Chairman of the People’s Democratic Party, Iyorchia Ayu has been suspended from his ward in Benue State.

His suspension letter was signed by 17 of his ward executive members in Igyorov ward, Gboko Local government Area of the state. They reportedly passed a vote of no confidence on his leadership.

According to the letter dated March 24, Ayu was suspended for three major allegations that were levelled against him.

The first is his anti party activities. While reading a resolution of the meeting where the decision was taken, the secretary of the party in Igyorov ward, Vanger Dooyum, said Ayu’s anti-party activities alongside his allies contributed to PDP’s loss in his ward and local government in the governorship election.

Secondly, the embattled PDP National Chairman was also accused of not paying his annual dues as enshrined in the party’s constitution. He was said to be owing his party dues for close to two years.

The third allegation against him was his failure to vote during the governorship and states house of Assembly electiond in his ward.

His close allies were also accused of not voting on that day which consequently led to the loss by his party’s candidates in the election.

The ward chairman of Igyorov, Kashi Philip signed the letter alongside the exco.
