How Wike Responded When Asked If He Was Behind The Suspension Of Ayu In Benue 

The Governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike has cleared the air on speculations and suspicions about his involvement in the suspension of the National Chairman of the People’s Democratic Party, Senator Iyorchia Ayu.

Ayu was suspended by the executive members of his ward in Gboko Local government area of Benue State.

According to the Ward excos, Ayu is guilty of anti – party activities, non payment of monthly dues and failure to vote in the last governorship and state Houses of Assembly election which was responsible for the party’s poor performance in the election.

Reacting to the suspension, Wike said Ayu’s suspension by his ward excos is in order.

When he was specifically asked if he was behind the suspension, the governor noted that he did not have a hand in it but he supported the move.

According to Wike who featured as a special guest on Monday edition of Channels TV Sunrise Daily, broadcast live from Port Harcourt, Ayu was responsible for PDP loss in the last Governorship and State House of Assembly election in Benue State.

He said the embattled chairman never paid attention to the yearnings of his people.
