I Can’t Leave, The Game Is Not Over Yet- Bode George Speaks On Leaving Nigeria Because Of Tinubu
A chieftain of the People’s Democratic Party, Chief Olabode George has revealed when he would leave Nigeria following the emergence of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu as President-Elect.
The former deputy National Chairman of the opposition party has maintained times without number that he would go on self-exile if Tinubu becomes president of Nigeria.
His reason has been largely due to the long standing feud between him and the former governor of Lagos.
Featuring on Arise TV Morning Show on Tuesday, the former military administrator of old Ondo State spoke on when he would depart the country now that Tinubu will soon be president of Nigeria.
Asked if he would still do as he threatened and when he would carry out his threat, Bode George disclosed that he cannot leave the country now because the matter is still in court.
He said: “I can’t leave, the game is not over yet.”
The elderstatesman believes that the election can still be upturned at the Supreme Court when the real legal battle begins.
He said: ” I won’t leave town because the game is not over. If the court affirms Tinubu as president-elect, I won’t attend his inauguration, he isn’t my party’s candidate. I intend to quit partisan politics, relocate to a peaceful town soon”
