Tinubu’s Media Director, Bayo Onanuga Mocks PDP After Removing Ayu As National Chairman
The removal of Senator Iyorchia Ayu, as the National Chairman of the People’s Democratic Party has continued to generate reactions from Nigerians on social media.
Ayu has been in the eye of the storm since Sunday when his ward executive members in Gboko Local government area of Benue State passed a vote of no confidence on his leadership and suspended him as a member of the party at the ward level.
He was accused of Anti-party activities, non payment of monthly dues and failure to vote during the governorship and House of Assembly elections which consequently led to the poor performance of the party in the elections.
On Tuesday, his woe was further compounded by the National Executive Council of the party by removing him as PDP National Chairman. He has since been replaced by an acting chairman.
Reacting to the development within the opposition party, the Media Director of the Tinubu’s Presidential Campaign Council, Bayo Onanuga described the PDP NEC decision as medicine after death.
Onanuga made this reaction on his Twitter handle.
He wrote: “Like medicine after death, PDP removes Iyorchia Ayu as chairman after its recalcitrance had cost it winning the presidential election. What a party!”
