Tinubu’s Media Director, Onanuga Describes UberFacts As An Account Notorious For Tweeting Falsehood

Supporters of President-elect, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu have continued to throw jabs at UberFacts over the twitter post that gave more revelation about Tinubu’s alleged drug dealing in the USA.

UberFacts, an online Web/App services with over 13 million followers set the internet on fire on Monday after dropping some documents on twitter. The documents revealed how Tinubu forfeited a sum of 46,000 to the US government to escape being convicted for drug related offenses.

The post, which caught the attention of Nigerians on social media, has been generating reactions since then.

Speaking on the development on Tuesday morning, the Media Director of the All Progressive Congress presidential campaign council, Bayo Onanuga rubbished the twitter account and the post.

He described UberFacts as a twitter account that is notorious for random tweeting of falsehood.

He said he was surprised that Nigerians are excited about the tweet from such an account.

Bayo Onanuga revealed this on his tweeter account.

He wrote: “I am surprised that some Nigerians  are excited about @UberFacts, a  Twitter account, notorious  for random tweeting of falsehood and ” the most unimportant things you’ll never need to know”. Only in Nigeria will the junk site be stamped with some semblance of authenticity or conferred with a badge of authority, when many of its facts had long been dismissed as unreliable. Some years ago, Buzzfeed gave this damning verdict: “The Truth About UberFacts: They’re Often Wrong”.
