I Have To Interrogate Myself If Tinubu Won An Election That Fulfilled All Requirements Of Law & Rules- Ezekwesili
Former Minister of Education, Oby Ezekwesili has taken another hard look at the political bruhaha currently rocking the country and concluded that very little is adding up.
Ezekwesili has been a consistent social media commentator since the conduct and conclusion of presidential election held in February 25 and which produced the candidate of the All Progressive Congress, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu as president-elect.
In her early morning post on Wednesday, the Bring Back Our Girls convener compared her feelings with that of others and the reality of things on ground in the political space.
According to her, Nigerian citizens are part of problems encountered in choosing the right leaders for the country. In other word, when they are needed to come out and vote, they will rather sit back in their comfort or engage in something else and later blame the politicians for rigging the elections.
In a thread of tweets on her verified twitter handle on Wednesday, the rights activist said: “I have to interrogate myself if Tinubu won an election that fulfilled all the requirements of law and rules.”
She asked herself if she would have resisted the declaration of Asiwaju Bola Tinubu as president-elect.
She wrote:
“I don’t know about others but had to interrogate myself if I would have resisted the declaration of @officialABAT as “President-Elect” if he actually won an election that fulfilled all requirements of law and rules.
My answer was No.
I would be appalled but not resistant.”
