You Are A Serial Betrayer-Kogi Govt. Slams Smart Adeyemi For Calling Gov. Bello A Tyrant

The Statement made by Senator Smart Adeyemi in reaction to the primary election of the All Progress Congress in Kogi State has sparked a blunt response from the state  government.

The former Federal Lawmaker had expressed his grievance on the outcome of the election, describing it as shambolic and grossly manipulated in favour of the governor’s annointed candidate.

Smart Adeyemi accused the governor, Yahaya Bello of bias, sentiments and favoritism. He also accused him of rigging the election for his candidate, Ahmed Usman Ododo, former auditor general of the State. He also said Yahaya Bello is a tyrant.

While reacting to Adeyemi’s vituperation, the state commissioner for Information and Communication, Kingsley Fanwo described him as a serial betrayer.

The Commissioner stated this while featuring on Tuesday edition of Arise TV Morning Show.

He said: “The primary is the best in the state’s history; you could see the enthusiasm of the party members who participated in the process.

“Today that man[Yahaya Bello] who supported him [Adeyemi] to become a senator, despite much advice from people outside and within the government that he is going to betray him as a serial betrayer, Bello went ahead and supported him”.

Ododo was declared the APC’s flagbearer for the November 11 2023, governorship election in Kogi State.

However, Adeyemi and four other aspirants in the primary rejected the outcome.
