VIDEO: Nigerians Evacuated From Sudan Express Outrage After Their Buses Stopped In Middle Of Sahara Desert
Nigerian students and non students who are being evacuated from Sudan have encountered more trouble following the stoppage of their buses at Sahara desert.
Nigerian government had earlier revealed that it has contracted buses that would evacuate the stranded Nigerian nationals from Sudan to Cairo, Egypt on an agreement of 1.2 million dollars.
The statement which was made by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Geoffrey Onyema sparked reactions among members of the public.
Notwithstanding the federal government decision to go ahead with the arrangements, it did not seem to spell an end to the misfortune awaiting the evacuees from where it is believed to be a danger zone.
A video trending on social media currently revealed that the Nigerian evacuees have again stranded in the middle of Sahara desert.
According to the video shared by Senator Shehu, one of the victims who did the recording revealed that the drivers of the hired buses refused to proceed with the journey because they have not been paid by the Nigerian government.
The lady lamented that they are currently stranded in the middle of nowhere, no water, no food, no shelter to cover themselves and they had no money.
They called on the government to come to their aid by completing the evacuation mission they have already started.
The twitter user who posted the video wrote: “The Buses evacuating Nigerian students and non-student
