Tinubu’s Close Ally Speaks On Protest Asking Court To Suspend May 29 Presidential Inauguration

Media Director of Tinubu’s Presidential Campaign Council, Bayo Onanuga has reacted to the protest staged at the premises of Appeal Court on Monday asking to stop the inauguration of president-elect, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu which is slated for May 29.

The protesters used the opportunity of the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal currently underway to press home their demands for the suspension of the official Swearing-in ceremony.

Displaying placards bearing different messages, the protesters insisted that Tinubu’s inauguration should be on hold until the hearing and determination of petition against his election.

Reacting to the protest, Tinubu’s Media Director revealed that asking for postponement of Tinubu’s inauguration is simply anarchy.

He said the fact that a politician lost election does not mean Nigerians should pay for it.

Bayo Onanuga made the reaction on his Twitter handle on Tuesday.

He wrote: “What these devotees of dystopia are calling for, asking for postponement of Tinubu’s inauguration,  is simply anarchy. So, because a politician lost an election, Nigeria should be made to pay for that? Our peace and stability should be threatened because a politician was rejected by Nigerians?”
