I’m 29th Of My Father’s 36 Children – AGF, Malami Opens Up
The Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Mallami, has disclosed that he is the 29th child among the 36 children given birth to by his father.
This is contained in his autobiography launched in Abuja titled Traversing The Thorny Terrain of Nigeria’s Justice Sector; My Travails and Triumphs.
The 283 page autobiography book with 14 Chapters chronicled the assets recovery issues, the controversies that trailed the confirmation and removal of the former Chairman of Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Ibrahim Magu, the MTN Saga, the Paris Club loan refund, and Presidential Executive Orders.
The Book, with a foreword by the Vice President, Professor Yemi Osibanjo also revealed how Mallami helped his Mother to hawk Kerosene and how he is the 29th among the 36 children of his father.
President Muhammadu Buhari representated at the event by his Chief of Staff, Professor Ibrahim Gambari, while giving an account of Abubakar Mallami in his Cabinet, said the Minister had proven to be a patriotic Nigerian who always strive for nation building and good governance.
President Muhammadu Buhari maintained that history will be kind to those who diligently serve under his administration.
The Chairman at the Occasion, the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Mr. Boss Mustapha, said the Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice served President Buhari and the Nation with all the commitment required of any patriotic Nigerian.
The Chief host and Governor of Kebbi State, Senator Atiku Bagudu, emphasized that Abubakar Mallami contributed immensely to the successes recorded in President Buhari’s anti-corruption fight.
The Author, Abubakar Mallami, said being the longest serving Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, and as the Chief Law Officer of the country, he experienced the most challenging part of his career which encouraged him to write the book.
The book which was reviewed by the Spokesperson to former President Goodluck Jonathan, Dr. Reuben Abati also revealed how several rumours were spread about the death of Abubakar Mallami.
The event which held at the NAF Conference Center Abuja was attended by Serving and former governors, lawmakers, Ministers and traditional rulers
