Why Is Labour Party Leadership Working For Akpabio Of APC To Be Senate President? Sowore Asks

Presidential candidate of the Action Alliance in the just concluded presidential election, Omoyele Sowore is seeking to know why the leadership of the Labour Party is working for Godswill Akpabio, an All Progressive Congress Senator who is currently jostling for the Senate President of the tenth Assembly.

Sowore made the statement following Akpabio’s alleged visit to Peter Obi to get the support of Senator-elects under the platform of the Labour Party.

According to Sowore, Akpabio belongs to the camp of Bola Ahmed Tinubu who allegedly stole Obi’s mandate in the February 25 presidential election.

The activist, who described the Labour party leaders as a bunch of hypocrites, also accused Akpabio of emerging as a Senator through a flawed election.

Writing on his verified twitter handle, Sowore said: “Why is Labour Party working for Akpabio of APC to be Senate President?”

He wrote:

“Why  is the Labour Party @NgLabour leadership working with Senator Godswill Akpabio of @OfficialAPCNg who was elected in a flawed election, why is Labour party trying to help him (Akpabio) get elected as the Senate President of @officialABAT who stole the @NgLabour  @peterobi’s mandate?
