POLICE IG, EGBETOKUN PREACHES LOVE, TOLERANCE FOR PEACEFUL NEW YEAR

The Inspector General of Police, IGP Kayode Egbetokun, has called on citizens to embrace love and tolerance as pillars for fostering peace across the nation. The IG gave the charge in a Goodwill statement signed on his behalf by the FPPRO ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi on Sunday.

In the statement, the IGP emphasizes the importance of collective efforts in building a harmonious society, while urging communities to strengthen the bonds that unite and foster understanding among diverse groups.

He said by embracing love and tolerance, Nigerians can overcome differences and work together towards a safer and more prosperous Nigeria.

The IGP gave assurances that the Nigeria Police remains committed to ensuring the safety and security of all citizens while encouraging the public to collaborate with the Police and other security and law enforcement agencies by reporting any suspicious activities that may threaten the peace and well-being of our communities.

“Together, let us embark on a journey of compassion, understanding, and cooperation. May this new year bring about positive transformations for our great nation.

“Once again, we wish you a happy, prosperous, and fulfilling new year, 2024,” he said.
