The World Celebrates TB Joshua’s Posthumous Birthday In Style
It was fun and glitz as members and friends of the Synagogue Church Of All Nations (SCOAN) worldwide, rolled out the drums to celebrate the 60th posthumous birthday of the founder and general overseer of the church, Prophet TB Joshua.
The main auditorium of the church was filled to the brim as guests, friends, members, Emmanuel TV partners well-wishers from all over the world turned out to celebrate the birthday of the man they described as an inspiration, mentor, teacher, preacher, father to many, a man with a milk of human kindness and a servant of God who exemplified what he preached while he was alive.
The birthday bash had in attendance de crème de la crème of the society. Anchored by award winning broadcaster Chioma Agunobi, guests were treated to a variety of entertaining programs to honour the life and achievements of the revered man of God. There was an opera performance by 11 -year old Esther and the Classical Thanksgiving Ministration Group alongside Uche Aghulor.
The Synagogue Church of All Nation Choir also thrilled the guests to spirit-lifting songs alongside James Ayeni, while the SCOAN youths were not left out as they showcased their acting skills with a drama presentation in addition to a choreography dance. The guest artiste at the event was the Divine Music Band led by Johnson Adumadeyin.
The highlight of the event was the cutting of the 60th posthumous birthday cake of Prophet Joshua performed by his daughters, Promise and Heart Joshua alongside the church evangelists and representatives of different countries at the event. The cutting of the cake was anchored and supervised by the duo of Goge Africa presenters Isaac and Nneka Moses.
Guests who spoke at the event reeled out the sterling qualities of the man of God which stood him shoulder high above his peers. They said his legacies of love, perseverance, kindness and leadership have continued to endear him to people two years after his death. They also eulogized the wife, Pastor Mrs. Evelyn Joshua for taking up the mantle of leadership in the church and continuing with the legacies of the late man of God.
Bishop Stephen Ogedengbe, the founder and general overseer of Wisdom Chapel, Shasha, Lagos in his words of exhortation, appreciated the wife of the late prophet for carrying on with the commission. His words, ‘’ I want to appreciate the leader of this commission, Pastor Evelyn TB Joshua. Who is Prophet TB Joshua? Born 60 years ago, the bible said in the book of Jeremiah chapter 1 vs. 4 that from the mother’s womb I have anointed you as a prophet’’.
“The controversy has always been who is the spiritual father of Prophet TB Joshua before he was commissioned? But the correction should come to the world today; a prophet is anointed from the womb that’s what the book of Jeremiah chapter 1 vs. 1-5 said. ‘I have commissioned you as a prophet to our generation and as a prophet to the nations of the world to lift up and to pull down’.
“I want to appreciate the prophet of this commission for one reason. We must give thanks to God; those who hate Prophet TB Joshua so much, we thank them because they are not comparable to people that love him so much’’.
“For a charismatic prophet, it’s a two dimensional issue because the ways of God is not the ways of man. Those who love Prophet TB Joshua love him passionately and can die for the course. The bible says that he that receives a prophet shall receive the prophet’s reward. In charity, he has no classmate and we believe because the grace of God is all over his life’’
Teemac Omatshola Iseli, a Nigerian flutist and former president of PMAN, in his commendation said that June 12 has always been a day he looked forward to every year, as it marks a miles stone for him. ‘’June 12 has always been an important day in my calendar. Apart from the year we had Covid -19 pandemic, I have never missed it because it’s a time we celebrate a very special human being. TB Joshua has taught me to stay humble and believe in God solely. So, I wish all, a wonderful birthday. Prophet TB Joshua still blesses us from heaven because he is part of our lives and he lives’’, he concluded.
For the founder and general overseer of Champions Royal Assembly, Pastor Joshua Iginla, ‘’the prophet is a gift to mankind and humanity. I am glad that it was in my generation they gave birth to this legend of faith, pathfinder. I call him the first born in the prophetic world who took the bullets for so many of us, he broke the grounds, the persecution, trial and focus, the depth, the maturity in which he comported himself in his lifetime is worth to emulate.
“We are not talking about a man who preaches, but a man who lived with the full fruit of the spirit. A man that was hated; yet gave people love, persecuted but in the midst of persecution was patient. I am glad that my generation has seen such a legend of faith. I want to add that the prophetic ministry is so strong that if you are a canal mind you cannot understand the prophet. Prophets are men of mysteries and that is why when you look at the life of the prophet, many people may not be able to understand him except the Lord revealed him to you. Prophet is gift that descended from heaven,’’ Pastor Iginla said.
Apostle Prince Ihwaboure has this few words to say about TB Joshua, ‘’ I want to celebrate our mother in the lord for keeping the fire. If I want to talk about TB Joshua, where would I start because time will not permit us? A man of love, peace and a man of patience that we all looked up to. We see the practical love of Jesus Christ that he demonstrated’’.
‘’I am happy for being a part of this generation because he has touched my life since 2007 that I got to know about Emmanuel TV. Watching Emmanuel TV has developed my spiritual life. I am happy to be here today, let me talk about his giving aspect. Giving to the less privilege, we are celebrating his life because his focus was not broken. He lived what he preached. He was a man that demonstrated true love. We are happy today because the love he showed to the world still keeps on burning’’.
In attendance at the birthday ceremony were friends and well-wishers of the church and Prophet Joshua including Emmanuel TV partners from: Belgium, Namibia, USA, South Africa, Ghanaian, India, Zimbabwe, Poland, Malawi and Botswana. Others include: Tanzania, United Kingdom Russia and Ukraine, and Guinea among many others.
Prophet TB Joshua passed on to glory on June 6th 2021, few days before his 58th birthday. The man of God was born on June 12, 1963, in a village in Arigidi-Akoko, Ondo state, Nigeria to Pa Kolawole Balogun and Madam Folarin Aisha Adesiji Balogun.
Temitope’s journey to success was a tough and tortuous one. Years later, however, he discovered the true purpose in life after a 40 day, night fast backed by fervent prayers. From that experience emerged the Synagogue Church of All Nations in 1989, with eight members led by Prophet Temitope Joshua. Like everything else about him, the SCOAN went through divine processing from its initial forbidding swampy location in Agodo-Egbe to today’s Ikotun, Lagos in 1994. For over three decades, the SCOAN has remained a place of refuge for the world – glory be to Jesus Christ.
