Less than three months after moving into a newly rented one bedroom apartment, a tenant in Ajuwon area of Ogun State, his landlady and agents who facilitated his tenancy have all landed in police net.
The man, who is also a teacher in one of the popular private schools in Ikeja, reportedly moved into the house in March this year with three little children without their mother.
One of his co-tenants who narrated the incident to RovingNaija correspondent revealed that the landlady asked about his wife when he moved in but he told her that his wife was working outside Lagos and would be coming to join them later.
Few days after moving in, he got a Nanny for the kids while he would go to work and return at the normal time.
The source said:
“After three months that the Nanny worked for him and he refused to pay her salary, she told her she is not working again and demanded for her money. But he told her that she should give him time till he gets another person that will be taking care of the children.
“The Nanny later went to report the tenant at the Ajuwon Police Division.”
Speaking further, the tenant stated that men from the police division visited the house and saw the three children. The youngest of them is still crawling. There was nothing in the house to show it is resided by a family, not even a mattress except cooking items.
The man, landlady and four agents that linked him to the house were immediately arrested and detained by the Police.
The Nanny also revealed that the man operates different baby factories within the community.
According to the source, the suspect would strike a deal with ladies or single mothers who are financially incapacitated and promise to pay them one million naira for every child they give birth to.
If they agree to the term, he would hire street boys to continue to sleep with them till they are pregnant for a sum of eight hundred thousand naira. Once they become pregnant, each of the boys will collect their money and disappears while the ladies will continue to nurse their pregnancies.
After giving birth, the suspect will pay them the agreed one million naira in exchange for their babies, collect the children from them and terminate the contract.
However, the children under his custody were reportedly kidnapped from Port Harcourt, Rivers State. He was said to have brought them to Lagos around the time he got the apartment.
The landlady and the agents have been released on bail while the suspect was transfered to Ogun State Police Command Headquarter, Elewe-Eran, Abeokuta where he later confessed to the crime.
Speaking on the incident during its visit to the Ajuwon police station, the management of the school where he teaches confirmed that the suspect is a teacher who teaches Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry. They described him as one of their best teachers and wonder why he engaged in such act.
Some residents in the area revealed that he is only using the school to cover up his track, saying kidnapping and running baby factories are his major businesses.
