Emefiele Pleads Not Guilty As DSS Arraigns Ex-CBN Gov

The Department of State Services (DSS) has finally arraigned Godwin Emefiele, former governor of the Central Bank (CBN) in court.

Emefiele has been in detention since President Bola Tinubu suspended him last month. The DSS had arrested him at his Lagos residence and flew him in a private jet to Abuja.

On Tuesday morning, he was brought before a Federal High Court where a two- count charge bothering on illegal possession of firearms and ammunition was leveled against him.

He however pleaded not guilty to the allegations.
