JUST In: Wike, El-Rufai Return To FCT As Tinubu’s Ministerial List Emerges

Immediate past governor of Kaduna and Rivers States, Nasir El-Rufai and Nyesome Wike may likely return to the Federal Capital Territory as Ministers following the inclusion of their names in the recently released ministerial list by president Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

President Tinubu, has forwarded the ministerial list to the Nigerian Senate on Thursday morning for approval.

Wike once served as Minister of State for Education under the former president Goodluck Ebele Jonathan while El-Rufai was the FCT Minister during the administration of Ex-President Olusegun Obasanjo. 

During his days as a Minister, the former Kaduna governor hugged the limelight in a negative trend following his controversial demolition of what he considered as illegal structures in the FCT and rendered several residents homeless till date.

Also included in Tinubu’s ministerial list are legal luminary, Lateef Fagbemi, SAN, eminent medical scholar, Ali Pate, an economist Olawale Edun, seasoned banker, Adebayo Adelabu, former Osun State Governor, Adegboyega Oyetola, All Progressives Congress (APC) Women Leader, Mrs. Betta Edu, Senator Ben Ayade and veteran journalist, Dele Alake, who is currently the Special Adviser on Media, Strategy and Special Duties.
