SAD! Man Drowns In Well While Trying To Retrieve Women Wrappers

A 37-year-old man, Umar Ayuba has drowned  in a well at Kawon Maigari,  Nassarawa Local Government Area, Kano State.

The Public Relations Officer of Kano State Fire Service, Alhaji Saminu Abdullahi confirmed the incident to newsmen in Kano.

He explained that, the agency received an emergency call at about 05:20 p.m. from one Mamuda Abdallah, that a man was trapped in a well.

The PRO noted that, a rescue team was quickly mobilized  to the scene at about 05:32 p.m.

Saminu maintained  that, Ayuba got trapped while  retrieving  women  wrappers that fell into the well.

He added that the victim suffocated due to  lack of oxygen.

“Ayuba was brought out of the well unconscious and  handed over to Inspector Adamu Sani of Hotoro Police division, who  conveyed him  to Murtala Muhammed Specialist Hospital where the doctor on duty confirmed him dead.
