Rohr reveals worst moment with Super Eagles
Former Super Eagles coach Gernot Rohr has revealed his worst moment when he was in charge of the team.
The 68-year-old coached the Super Eagles for five years between 2016 and 2021.
He opened up about his worst moment with the Nigeria national team.
“The worst day was when we were supposed to celebrate that we had qualified for the play-offs and we were called to say that we are sacked, unfair and painful.”
Rohr had 35 wins, 16 losses and 13 draws from 65 games with the Eagles, and he said he felt proud of his record.
“No manager will feel hundred per cent. It can always be better, but it can also be worse. The bigger picture is when we came Nigeria was 67 in FIFA rankings and 13 in Africa. When I left, Nigeria was 32 in the world and fourth in Africa.”
