PHOTOS: NIPOST Workers Protest Appointment Of New CEO

By Rita Elenwo

Workers of the Nigerian Postal Service (NIPOST) have shut down the service head office in Abuja to protest against the appointment of the new CEO/Post Master General, Omotola Odeyemi.

The protest took place on Monday, October 16, as workers denied the newly appointed CEO of NIPOST entry into the premises.

Placards affixed to the gate showed their protest against Odeyemi’s appointment while indicating their preference for Adepoju.

Some of the inscriptions on the placard read: “We stand for Adepoju”, “If you want development, give us Sunday Adepoju”, “No Sunday, No NIPOST, no way for cabal”, “We don’t want Ola Odeyemi (ms) leave Sunday Adeoju.”
