The Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has arrived at Oyingbo to unveil an overpass bridge project for the Lagos Rail Mass Transit on Sunday, November 5.
The Chief Press Secretary to the Lagos State Governor, Gboyega Akosile, revealed this in a video posted on his X handle on Sunday.
In the video, the Lagos Governor was in company with the Ekiti State Governor, Abiodun Oyebanji.
According to Akosile, the purpose of the bridge is to separate vehicular and pedestrian traffic from rail traffic and to eliminate accidents associated with railway-level crossings.
The bridge connects Murtala Muhammed Way to Apapa Road to provide access to Costain, the Iganmu Industrial area, and the Lagos Badagry Expressway.
It also provides access to Herbert Macaulay Way and the Third Mainland Bridge; Otto towards Carter Bridge and Ijora.
He added, “This bridge, along with others including the Yaba overpass bridge, the Mushin bridge, Ikeja, Pen Cinema, and Agbado crossing, are built for the convenience of passengers and other Lagosians as we roll out the Red Line Train in not too distant time.”
