Again, Bandits Strike In Zamfara, Kill Two, Kidnap Lecturer, Others
Gunmen suspected to be bandits have again attacked Maru town, the headquarters of Maru Local Government Area of Zamfara State, killing two persons and abducting four, including a lecturer from the College of Education (COE).
According to a resident of the area, Usman Ibrahim, the gunmen stormed Maru town last Saturday night, killing two people and abducting four others, including Nasiru Mohammed Anka, a lecturer at the College of Education Maru.
“The terrorists entered the town with sophisticated weapons and began shooting sporadically. Later, they moved from house to house, where they abducted four people.
“They also opened fire on others who tried to escape the abduction. They killed two people and injured many others during the operation.”
