Buhari meets with Tinubu, Adamu over 2023 presidential election

Nigerian president Muhammadu Buhari, on Sunday night, met with presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Tinubu and chairman of the party Abdullahi Adamu.

The meeting is believed to be about the 2023 elections as the formal flag-off of the APC’s presidential campaign, is scheduled to take place in Jos, the Plateau capital, on November 15.

The meeting involving the trio took place shortly after Buhari returned to Nigeria from the United Kingdom.

Buhari returned to the country on Sunday night after spending 13 days in the UK — he had travelled on October 31 for “routine” medical checkup.

“President Muhammadu Buhari is currently meeting with our presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu and Chairman of great party, Senator Abdullahi Adamu, ahead of the formal presidential campaign flag-off later in the week,” Buhari’s aide Bashir Ahmad posted on his twitter handle late on Sunday night.
