CNNP Reacts To Uzodinma’s Victory, Tells Aggrieved Parties To Go To Court
The Conference of Nigeria Political Parties (CNPP) has reacted to the victory of Imo State governor, Hope Uzodinma in the just concluded off-cycle gubernatorial election in the state.
Uzodinma and the All Progressives Congress (APC) emerged winner of the November 11 governorship election, according to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
The State Returning Officer and Vice Chancellor of the Federal University, Oye Ekiti, Prof Abayomi Fashina, announced that Uzodinma defeated challengers from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Labour Party (LP), and Action Alliance (AA).
In a statement signed by its Deputy National Publicity Secretary, James Ezema, the CNPP noted, “We, therefore, congratulate the winner of the 2023 governorship election in Imo State, Governor Hope Uzodinma.
“Politics is a game of numbers, and only one winner can emerge in a contest of this nature.
“We urge members of the public to maintain peace, and any aggrieved party or individual should explore legal options to seek redress,” the CNPP said.
