More facts have emerged on the man who jumped into Lagoon through Lekki-Ikoyi Link Bridge on Tuesday.
RovingNaija News had reported that an unidentified man committed suicide by jumping into River at the location.
Latest information by those who were at the scene when the incident happened revealed that the man was a Dispatch Rider.
He was said to have parked his motorcycle by the roadside, walked to the bridge and jumped into the Lagoon.
Commuters who took the road rushed to the barricade of the bridge to see if the man could be seen calling for help.
The police arrived at the scene and cordoned off the area while the official rescue team was instantly alerted.
Confirming the incident, the spokesman for the Lagos State Police Command, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, said
“Our men are there, controlling the crowd as other rescue teams arrive”.
