Gov Otti, Obi, Other Dignitaries Grace Zik Prize Awards

Abia State Governor, Dr. Alex Otti, led a cream of some of the nation’s foremost traditional rulers, corporate titans and public servants to the 27th edition of the Zik Prize Awards, on Sunday night in Lagos.
Those who were honoured with the prestigious awards at an event held inside the cosy Eko Convention Centre of Eko Hotels were the Zambian President, Hakainde Hichilema; Edo State Governor, Godwin Obaseki; Professor Benedict Oramah, President of AFRIEXIM Bank.
Others were Dr. Taiwo Afolabi, Group Chairman SIFAX Group; and Hajiya Aisha Atiku Bagudu, former First Lady of Kebbi State and founder MALLPAI Foundation.
They were honoured in the categories of Political Leadership, Good Governance, Professional Leadership, Entrepreneurial Leadership, and Humanitarian Leadership, respectively.
Among the dignitaries who attended the A-list event were former Governor of Anambra State and Presidential Candidate of the Labour Party, Mr. Peter Obi; the Obi of Onitsha, Igwe Nnaemeka Alfred Achebe; the Oniru of Iruland, Oba Gbolahan Lawal; former Governor of Cross River, Mr. Donald Duke; and a host of other dignitaries.
The Zik Prize Awards is the flagship event of the Public Policy Research and Analysis Center (PPRAC), founded by the Late Prince Emeka Obasi, who served as the Executive Secretary.
Governor Otti was awarded the Zik Prize in Professional Leadership in 2013, when he was the Managing Director of Diamond Bank Plc.
