Gunmen Kill One In Abuja Community, Kidnap Chief, Wife, Six Others

Some yet to be identified gunmen have reportedly killed a resident and abducted eight others, including a chief, his wife and three children in Mpape community in the Bwari Area Council of the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.

According to reports, the gunmen numbering about 30 stormed the community in the GRA area on the outskirts of the town around 9pm on Wednesday, and raided at least six houses, including the chief’s palace.

A resident, Josephine David, said the chief, Peter David, who was her brother, was abducted alongside his wife and three children.

There were no comments on the incident by the FCT Police Command and other security agencies in the territory
