Insecurity: Shehu Sani Gives Advice On Reuniting With Old School Mates, Friends

A former Senator who represented Kaduna Central Senatorial District at the 8th Assembly has advised Nigerians on the “rule of engagement” when they are meeting an old school mate after many years of losing contact.

The activist believes that it is normal for people to be excited and curious to spend time with friends or colleagues whom they have not seen in a very long time. This is expected to avail them the privilege to discuss several topics of mutual importance that may have transpired since many years of communication breakdown.

According to Shehu Sani, whoever finds himself in this kind of position should thread with caution and be circumspect while initiating such a fresh relationship.

Writing on his verified twitter handle on Monday morning, the former lawmaker said, “don’t rush to take him or her home because people can change with time.”

He wrote: “When you meet your former school mate whom you have lost touch (with) for a very long time, don’t rush to take him to your home or office. Do things gradually, try and know who he or she is presently. People can change with time. Just a piece of disposable advice.”

Shehu Sani’s advice has been eliciting divergent reactions, views and opinions on social media. While some see it as the right thing to do, others believe there is no big deal in being free with old colleagues and friends.
