I will crowdfund Peter Obi’s presidential election with N10 billion, says a Tech guru

The CEO of BudgIT Seun Onigbinde is set to crowdfund Peter Obi’s 2023 presidential ambition with N10 billion.

Onigbinde said a GoFundMe account would serve the purpose, since Nigerian youth deem him fit to lead the nation out of its current economic woes.

The decision was made after a London based publication Financial Times pegged the cost of electing a president in Nigeria at $2 billion which is about N1 trillion.

“A N10bn GoFundMe for Peter Obi will be great starter for those who want crowd source Nigeria’s next leader. This will change the dynamics with the space hijacked by moneybags,” he tweeted.

Meanwhile, Mr Obi on Tuesday expressed his readiness to contest the 2023 presidential election on the condition that PDP zones its ticket to the South.

“Yes, I will step into the field to contest the opportunity to serve this great country as president if my party, the @OfficialPDPNig, zones the ticket to the South. But if it is thrown open, Nigerians will also hear from me. -PO,” he tweeted.
