The Deputy Governor of Abia State Engr. Ikechukwu Emetu, has commenced the construction of a 5 bedroom bungalow for a party faithful who lives in a Mud house.
The Deputy Governor while responding to newsmen explained that he was moved to change the living standard of the Lady and her family when he realized that despite her condition, she was always committed and dedicated in party activities towards the actualization of a new Abia during the electioneering period.
“I was touched to upscale her standard of living after I paid her a visit as a Women Leader and realized where she comes from, the distance she most times trek to attend party functions and campaign for the Labour Party during the elections”.
I promised to change her Standard of living immediately we emerge victorious in the past election, I’m only fulfilling my promise, we keep our word, she deserves more” he added.
The Deputy Governor further stated that the current administration of Dr. Alex Otti, OFR prioritizes the welfare of Abians and more of such benevolence to alleviate poverty and upgrade the Standard of living of Abians will be felt.
Madam Rita Ukpai Nnaochin and her husband Mr Nnaochim Ukpai expressed appreciation for such uncommon kindness by the Deputy Governor and Prayed God for his wisdom, guidance, blessings and protection Over the Governor and his Deputy.
