Not less than three persons have been confirmed dead in Obingwa Local Government Area of Abia State after a speeding ambulance rammed into them.
A black-coloured Sports Utility Vehicle (SUV) used for ambulance services was said to be running at top speed when it hit some tricycles and motorcycles, killing three persons and seriously injuring some others in front of Dacoo Petrol Station at Umuafukwu/Umuagwa village, along Ikot Ekpene Road, in Obingwa LGA.
The accident occurred at noon on Thursday.
After the accident, the driver continued speeding until he crashed into a nearby bush.
The injured victims have been taken to the hospital for medical attention.
This comes one week after a 40-feet container fell from a truck at Ogbor Hill in Aba, crushing some vehicles and killing some persons.
