Lagos Police Identify Officers In Viral Video Seeking Tinted Glass Permit

The Police Public Relations Officer, Muyiwa Adejobi, on Sunday, has addressed a viral video showing where plainclothes individuals were harassing a motorist for tinted glass permit. 

Adejobi said the policemen have been traced and identified and are undergoing investigation. 

In the video, the men were seen alighting from a white vehicle and are heard asking the motorist for his car’s tinted permit.

The driver states, “It’s factory tinted glass and I can’t remember the last time the police asked me for a tinted permit because that was canceled two years ago.”

When asked about the police division, a voice responds, “We are from state CID Zone 2, V I here. Please, can you give me your tinted permit, sir?”

Reacting to the video on Sunday, Adejobi said, “These policemen have been traced to Zone 2 and identified. The AIG Zone 2 Lagos is investigating. While the PPRO Zone 2, Lagos will speak to it as soon as possible.
