Too Much Energy! CAF Selects Osimhen For Drug Test
Following his energetic runs and incessant out-muscling of his opponents on the pitch, the Confederation of African Football, CAF has picked Super Eagles strike, Victor Osimhen for drug test.
The Napoli’s hitman came under suspicion after his unusual performance against the host country, Cote d’Voire and Cameroon which consequently informed CAF decision to pick him for drug test.
“He was tested against Cote d’Ivoire and Cameroon. That is twice in four games,” a source said.
The African best player was fouled for the penalty that gave Nigeria a 1-0 win over the Ivorians.
Osimhen then put in a ‘battering ram’ performance against the Indomitable Lions as they won 2-0 in a last-16 clash on Saturday.
He set up the first goal for Ademola Lookman and was a constant menace for the Cameroonians, before he was substituted for Paul Onuachu late in the game.
Osimhen’s only goal came in the 1-1 draw against Equatorial Guinea in their first fixtures.
The top Nigerian striker is expected to lead the line for the three-time champions when they face Angola in the quarter-finals this week.
