2 Days After Leaving Office, Yahaya Bello’s Posters For APC Plump Job Flood FCT

Barely 48 hours after the immediate past Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello, handed over to his successor, Usman Ododo, his campaign posters for the Office of the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), have flooded the Blantyre Street, Abuja, location of the Party’s national secretariat.

The incumbent National Chairman, Abdullahi Umar Ganduje is from the North-West geo-political zone.

According to sources within the party, certain chieftains of the ruling party from the north have been itching for the exalted office to be moved to the North Central zone.

A former national vice chairman, North West, Salihu Lukman, who resigned from the seat on the eve of Ganduje’s emergence at the National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting held at Transcorp Hilton last August, has maintained that the emergence of Ganduje contravened the zoning arrangement in the APC.

Apparently cashing on the opportunity of zoning arrangement, Yahaya Bello decided to launch his ambition to chair the party by flooding the National Secretariat with his campaign posters.

The posters carried the inscription: “APC Next Level. Alhaji Yahaya Bello as APC National Chairman. Leading the Change, Building a Stronger APC.”

The posters indicated that Bello was contesting for the position of the All Progressives Congress, APC, National Chairman.

Former governor of Kano State, Abdullahi Ganduje, who is currently occupying the office as National Chairman, was elected at the August 3, 2023, National Executive Committee, NEC, of the party to replace Senator Abdullahi Adamu, who resigned from office.
