I’m Not Going On Rest, No Serious Leader Will Go On Rest With Present Nigerian Situation- Peter Obi Mocks Tinubu

The presidential candidate of Labour Party, Peter Obi has mocked Bola Ahmed Tinubu after arriving from Europe where he claimed he went to for a rest.

Tinubu, the Nigerian President-Elect had traveled to Europe over a month ago for rest. He also attended the Lesser Hajj in Saudi Arabia during the month of Ramadan. He returned to the country on Monday, April 24 after it was rumoured that his health had deteriorated and he has been placed on sick bed.

Arriving Nigeria on Monday, the former Lagos Governor said he was excited to be back home and thanked his supporters who came to receive him at the airport.

However, reacting to his return, Peter Obi said: “No serious leader will go on rest with the present Nigerian situation.”

The former govenernor of Anambra state revealed this during his visit to the Muslim community on Monday to felicitate with them on the occasion of Eid-Fitri celebration.

Peter Obi said his visit to them is not politically motivated. It is something born out of love and passion for humanity.

Obi is currently challenging the election of Tinubu as president-elect at the Tribunal.
