The traditional ruler of Asaba, His Royal Majesty, Obi (Prof.) Joseph Chike Edozien, has reportedly passed on.
Edozien, who was the 13th Asagba of Asaba, joined his ancestors on Wednesday.
The Asagba of Asaba who only recently commenced activities marking his 100th birthday anniversary.
The monarch’s demise filtered into the streets of Asaba on Wednesday.
Although the palace was yet to officially announce the passage of the revered monarch.
Though several sources confirmed the sad news, at the time of filing this report, efforts to get an official response from the Palace Secretary, Chief Patrick Ndili, were unsuccessful.
