Nigerian Football Legend, Okocha Defends S/Eagles Midfielder, Iwobi Over Cyber Attack

Ex-Nigerian International, Austin Jay Jay Okocha has raised his voice against Nigerians who are bulling his Nephew, Alex Iwobi over his terrible performance at the just concluded African Cup of Nations in Ivory Coast.

Iwobi has been subjected to cyber-attack since the beginning of the tournament for his poor run of form. Things became worse following Nigeria’s loss to the host country at the final on Sunday.

In almost all the games played in the competition, Iwobi’s performance was said to be far below average, eliciting intense attacks and bullying for him on social media.

Defending him through a post on his Instagram page on Tuesday morning, Okocha wrote;

‘’I pray for my country Nigeria and the people that can only hate and see nothing good in others, when effort counts for nothing, treat people the way you want them to treat you, all we have is this life is each other, we love you @alexanderiwobi and we keep going no matter what they say, the lord is good all the time and we trust that his will be done in our lives amen”
