Ritualists Butcher Middle-Age Woman, Disappear With Head, Hands

Some yet-to-be-identified ritualists have killed a middle-aged woman in Osogbo, Osun state.

The assailant went away with the victim’s head and her two hands.

According to the report, the victim had been homeless for some months at Oke-bale and was allegedly dragged into the back of the shops directly opposite Osogbo local government secretariat where she was butchered.

The assailants also cut off her two hands and abandoned her remains on the vacant land in the area.

Some traders in the area who wanted to open their shops, on Tuesday morning, discovered the corpse of the woman and immediately returned home for fear of being arrested by the security.

The spokesperson of the police, Yemisi Opalola, confirmed the incident, saying that investigation has begun.

“It is true. We have contacted the concerned authority to take care of the corpse, while the investigation is ongoing,” Opalola said.
