New Minimum Wage: Organised Labour Walks Out Again
Earlier today, organized Labour walked out of the government team at the Tripartite Committee meeting on the new national minimum wage for the third time.
This follows the inability of the government to make new offers above the proposed N60,000.
A source at the meeting told Vanguard that negotiations hit a brick wall when the government and the organized private sector remained adamant on the N60,000 offer they made on Tuesday.
Meanwhile, the organized labour, which scheduled a press briefing for 4 pm later declared that it will start a nationwide strike on Sunday 2nd May due to the total breakdown of its negotiation with government.
