Aiyedatiwa Hails Ondo Fed. Lawmaker, Commissions Constituency Project 

Ondo state governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, has applauded the lawmaker representing Irele/Okitipupa federal constituency of the state, Jimi Odimayo, for delivering pro-masses projects to his people.

The governor made the remarks in Ilutitun, Okitipupa council area on Thursday, at the commissioning of some of the constituency projects initiated and delivered by the Member of House of Representatives.

Represented by his deputy, Dr Olayide Adelami, the governor commissioned the Sabomi/Bamoyegun/Olowofoyekun and Ojomo roads in Ode Irele, and Ilutitun/Igbinsin road in Okitipupa.

He also laid the foundation for the construction of modern medical laboratory, and graced an empowerment program for 322 youths who were trained in bead-making and were also supported with start-up grants of one hundred thousand naira each.

The governor described Odimayo as an accomplished businessman and astute politician, whose impact in his constituency is worthy of commendation. 

He said, “Let me add that all these initiatives by the federal lawmaker are in line with the developmental agenda of the Lucky Aiyedatiwa forward-thinking government of Ondo state. 

“Just two days ago, our government approved, among other things, the construction of a 28-kilometre road in Irele council area. It will lead to the state’s free trade zone, Edo State and the ongoing Lagos-Calabar coastal highway being constructed by the federal government”.

Odimayo, who used the occasion to mark the his first anniversary as a federal lawmaker, revealed his love for the people as the driving force behind the chosen constituency projects.

“The projects we are commissioning today are a testament to what we can accomplish when we unite our efforts toward common goals” the lawmaker urged his constituents, as he promised to do more in the years ahead.

At the event, the federal lawmaker was honoured with a chieftaincy title of Atayase by the Oloto of Igbisin Oloto, Oba Michael Oluwagbenija Seewo.

Oba Seewo thanked Odimayo for his impactful projects in the last one year of representing the federal constituency. 

Other projects delivered by the lawmaker included installation of over 500 solar street light stands in 80 villages and distribution of laptop computers to students of Information Technology in the federal constituency.
