Eid: Uyi Oduwa-Malaka Felicitates with Muslim Community
Benin City – The Honourable Commissioner for Arts, Culture, and Tourism, Dr. Uyi Oduwa-Malaka, has extended warm felicitations to the Muslim community in the state as they celebrate Eid al-Adha, also known as Eid el-Kabir.
In a statement issued by the Ministry, Dr. Uyi praised the values of faith, devotion, and generosity that the festival embodies, urging everyone to come together to foster unity, understanding, and harmony among people of all faiths and backgrounds.
The Commissioner also reflected on the importance of culture and tradition in shaping the state’s collective identity, emphasizing the need to preserve and promote these values for future generations.
Dr. Oduwa-Malaka’s message concluded with a warm “Eid Mubarak!” to the Muslim community, wishing them a joyous celebration filled with love, peace, and joy.
In a related development, the Deputy Governor of the State, Engr. Marvelous Godwins Omobayo, in company of the Arts, Culture and Tourism Commissioner, Dr. Uyi, received the Muslim delegation at Government House, during a Sallah visit.
