Hon Okeowo Commissions Water Projects, kicks off Several Road Projects

Recently, the Chairman Ifelodun LCDA, Hon Mayor Okeowo embarked on the exhibition of his developmental milestones with foundation laying and commissioning of several projects in one day. It was indeed a busy day for the Chairman and his crew, flagging- off fourteen different projects in the Ifelodun LCDA. This is the campaign promise he made to the electorate, to transform the Council in the area of road network, environmental sanitation and security better than what he met on ground.

Mayor Okeowo started with foundation laying of the Executive Building inside the Council Secretariat, then the Primary Health Centre (PHC), at Seteolu Community, round about. According to the chairman, the foundation laying ceremony of the administrative building will solve accommodation problem at the council headquarters.

“We thank God for using our administration to do all these, today, we are commencing the construction and we will see the end in six months time.
I am poised to justify the people’s mandate through massive infrastructural development in Ifelodun LCDA”, he explained.

This was followed by the handover of administrative patrol vehicle to officers from the Signal Barracks to boost security in the area. Vehicles were given out to different groups to boost their work in the LCDA. They include: Community Development Committee, Nigeria Religious Council, ( NIRC),Ifelodun LCDA Chapter, Ifelodun Market Association and Chieftaincy Committee, including two staff buses.

Hon Okeowo later went with his entourage to commission 14 water projects in the seven wards that make up Ifelodun LCDA. The water projects were commissioned in Okoya, Jimoh Ojora- Primary school, Oyedeji, Abeje, Mosafejo close, Apasa Mosefejo road, Akindele street, Omololu Street, Aro Lane, Igbaja,Ofure,Alafia street, Owodunni street and Coker street.

In addition, he flagged off seven road construction projects at Igbaja, Ofure, Fijabi, Iyantuwo, Olokodana, Ladega, Apasa and Ogungbe.

This massive development initiative did not go unnoticed by the residents who showered praises on the hard working Chairman.
The Council Chairman’s proactive approach to governance in the face of adversity has resonated with residents who feel hopeful and optimistic about their community’s trajectory.

They expressed their heartfelt appreciation to the Council Chairman, Mayor Olufemi Akanbi Okeowo, for his unwavering commitment to the community through the initiation of several impactful projects despite the ongoing economic challenges.

In a period marked by financial strain on families and businesses alike, the Ifelodun LCDA is witnessing transformative developments that demonstrate the Chairman’s dedication to improving the quality of life for all residents.

Hon Okeowo has this to say as he rounded off his journey
