Nigeria Immigration Service Announces Increment In Passport Fees

The Federal Government through the Nigerian Immigration Service has announced the increase in Passport fees as part of its move to maintain the standard and integrity of the Nigerian passport. According to a statement signed by DCI KT Udo, the NIS Public Relations Officer, the upward review of the fees takes effect from September 1, 2024.

The statement reads, “Based on the review, 32 – page passport booklet with 5-year validy previously charged thiirty five thousand naira only (₦35,000), will now be fifty thousand naira only(₦50, 000), while the 54 – page passport booklet with 10- year validity which was Seventy thousand naira only (₦70,000) before, has been increased to a hundred thousand naira (₦100,000) only. However the fees remain unchanged in the diaspora

While the Nigerian Immigration Service regrets any inconveniences this move might cause prospective applicants: it assures Nigerians of unwavering commitment to transparency and quality service delivery at all times.”
